  • Why should I book through Passepartout?

    Ever dreamt about travelling to a far flung destination but worried that you’ll end up on the tourist conveyor belt? Perhaps you long for your paradise island but have a nagging doubt that when you get there it will all be ruined by the high-rise at the end of the beach.

     

    We have travelled to each of the destinations we cover; we spend time exploring the back streets, investigating the best guides, finding that fantastic local restaurant and getting the insider’s view. Our little black book of contacts will ensure you get VIP treatment all the way, even including upgrades and offers.

     

    You only ever deal with one contact throughout the booking of any one holiday and, where possible we arrange a meeting so we can put a face to the name.The idea is to build a relationship between us and you so that next time you travel we already know about your likes and dislikes.
     

    And finally, our ATOL licence offers financial protection to you the consumer that you wouldn’t receive if you booked direct.

     

  • What is an ATOL?

    ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers. If an ATOL tour operator fails, the ATOL scheme ensures ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers. If an ATOL tour operator fails, the ATOL scheme ensures customers contracted with the ATOL holder for an air package or a flight, do not lose the money paid over or are not stranded abroad.

  • Why do we need to talk?

    It’s a big world out there and only after an initial conversation can we begin to narrow things down. Tastes, preferences, seasons and budgets all vary so there is no holiday size which fits all. We also believe that our expertise allows us to make suggestions you may not have considered, which we feel may fit your criteria.

  • Can you send me a brochure for Passepartout?

    We don’t currently produce a brochure. Every holiday is built from scratch so when we have had an initial conversation we can send a completely tailored itinerary suggestion to you instead.

  • How much are Passepartout holidays?

    This very much depends on the destination, season and standard of accommodation. We will always recommend what we believe is the best option for you in terms of both style and price. There are a few countries where you can get away with spending £2000pp on a gorgeous little trip, for example to Sri Lanka, however a more comfortable starting point for any trip is £3000pp. Places like the Maldives or Bhutan start at about £4000pp.
     
    We have worked with all sorts of budgets from the modest to seven figure sums.

  • Will I need a visa, and/or vaccinations for my holiday?

    As a rule all countries require 6 months validity on your passport beyond your return date. Visa requirements vary but we will advise you at the time of booking of the various requirements. We are unable to give health advice however we strongly recommend you see your GP or make an appointment with a travel clinic to ensure you have the appropriate cover.

  • What kind of protection and insurance does Passepartout offer?

    All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays designed by us are financially protected by the ATOL scheme (ATOL number 10379). When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it.     In addition to this you must take out travel insurance. We can recommend an agent should you wish.

  • What is the confirmation process?

    Once we have discussed your options and settled on your dream holiday, we send you an invoice for a non-refundable 20% of the holiday. Once this is paid your holiday is confirmed (and at that point you should take out travel insurance). We will then invoice for the balance of the trip 2 months prior to travel.

     

    In some circumstances, eg peak season bookings, we will require earlier settlement of the full cost of the trip to secure your arrangements.
